Techturized is a mobile app that helps women customize their hair care by offering expert advice, social media feedback and a locator for services such as salons. It also collects hair samples from women to analyze their makeup and incorporates the data, while adjusting recommendations for factors such as the climates where customers live.
The company’s co-founders Chanel Martin and Candace Mitchell are based in Atlanta. They won the first business pitch contest at the PowerMoves.NOLA entrepreneurship festival.
After eight companies pitched, a nod from a panel of four judges with executive-level investing backgrounds awarded Techturized $25,000, which the founders said will help them develop the technology for automating the transfer of chemical data into user profiles, something they now do individually for each customer.
