The Business of Black Hair – we got to have it. Own it, control it, dominate it, produce, distribute, manufacture, market, promote and in every way possible regain control of this industry for ourselves. This industry was founded by African-American women. It is our duty and responsibility in honor of their entrepreneurial spirit, to distinguish ourselves by demanding and demonstrating ownership in this arena. We can do it! We must. Natural, chemically trated, wigs, weaves, extended, permed, dyed, laid to the side — continental African, African American, Black or Negro – it’s all Black hair.
In PowerNomics (Chapter 5) Dr. Claud Anderson states “Where Blacks are the dominant consumer they have a competitive market advantage. Blacks make purchases that are disproportionate to and exceed White purchases by twice to five times in the following areas 1) clothes and accessories 2) watches and jewelry 3) consumer electronics and eight other industries and product categories (read the Book), But no industry is it more evident or the consumerism more dominant by Blacks – than Black hair care products. We got to have it. There’s a Movement afoot to regain control. Join Us. Help Us. Build for your young and old. This is the place where we plant our flag.
