Jay-Z has managed to get involved in another lawsuit, pharm this time for his Roc Nation and a trademark infringement accusation. According to court papers filed Tuesday, Volcom claims the company (Roc Nation) stole their diamond design, which has been used since 1991.
“While Roc Nation appears to have initially used the diamond only in combination with the words ‘Roc Nation’ it is now using the diamond logo on its own, causing a likelihood of confusion among consumers.”
Volcom says the logo is printed on clothing and accessories including Skullcandy Roc Nation Aviator headphones. The suit cites trademark infringement, trademark dilution, unfair competition and false designation of origin, among a few other legal issues.
