Amy Pascal – prior to “stepping down” from Sony
If you ever wanted to know what goes on inside Sony Pictures then your wish has been granted. WikiLeaks has posted a fully searchable archive of the 170-thousand emails from the November 2014 hack of the entertainment giant.
Says WikiLeaks, “The Sony Archives offer a rare insight into the inner workings of a large, secretive multinational corporation. The work publicly known from Sony is to produce entertainment; however, The Sony Archives show that behind the scenes this is an influential corporation, with ties to the White House (there are almost 100 US government email addresses in the archive), with an ability to impact laws and policies, and with connections to the US military-industrial complex… It belongs in the public domain”
Readers can find internal communications regarding a host of celebrity, business and technology interests. Kevin Hart “jet to Cleveland for Cavs game for The Wedding Ringer” required the approval of Amy Pascal. When Unbroken, Angelina Jolies‘ 2014 American biographical war drama film, bombed in review Pascal wrote “Doesn’t sound like academy to me”. Pascal “stepped down” from her Sony post in February following the hack and the public release of her emails including racist jokes about President Obama.
Well with this just full archive now hitting the Internet you can be sure there will be more than just embarrassment to follow. Sony has already fired on WikiLeaks position, saying they “vehemently disagree” that the information belongs in the public.
Well for a society that craves information, reality and scandal the real business of entertainment is being mastered by WikiLeaks. You can access the Sony Archives database by clicking here.
