The next version of Apple’s iPad software, iPadOS 16, has been announced on stage during Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) keynote presentation. The software will come to various iPad models before the end of the year, and includes a variety of new features that will enhance productivity and ease of use, bringing the iPad closer to a laptop than ever before.

Only a few hints about iPadOS 16’s new features appeared before the event, which you can read about here. We expect the software to be compatible with the same devices that supported iPadOS 15, which includes the iPad Pro range, recent iPad Air models, and iPad Mini models too.
